Why Gotland yarn for colourway work because it has soft handle,it drapes[look at the capes in Lord of the Ring] and better still has lustre ,and the characteristics of Gotland yarn are suited to over dyeing.
At the moment we are working hard to have two jumpers finished showing how well this yarn is suited to colourway work.

Hand wash like any woollen garment.I only do if soiled then only wash/sponge the area.I put all knitted woollen garments in a sheltered area on a cold night odour disappears.I always do a swatch and have done so with these two yarns I have found they consistently produce the same results the quality control at Bendigo Woollen mill has been excellent.I have checked a considerable number of hanks and at this early stage all hanks in both ply's have consistently been approx 200 metres[104g] 4ply 360metres [104g]
